RSP 330 - Fundamentals in Respiratory Care Lab This course reinforces understanding of the role of the respiratory care practitioner within interprofessional teams and interacting with diverse populations. Activities include medical gas administration, respiratory therapeutics, basic patient assessment, infection control, bronchial hygiene, arterial blood gas analysis and medical terminology using proper written and oral communication methods to prepare students for clinical practice. Upon completion, students should be able to demonstrate competence in respiratory therapies and procedures through laboratory and simulation evaluations.
Credit Hours: 1
Corequisite Courses: RSP 300 , RSP 301 , RSP 302 , RSP 303 , RSP 333 , and RSP 351 . Additional Restrictions/Requirements: Restricted to RSP majors only. Course Repeatability: Course may not be repeated.
