EDN 340 - Reading Foundations K-6

Credits: 3
Prerequisite: EDN 301 . Corequisite: EDNL 340. Emphasis on linguistics and psychological bases of the reading process, stages in the development of reading ability, and sequences of skill acquisition. Students will study models of reading instruction for language and literacy learning, the role of the classroom teacher of reading, and forces influencing that role. A field-based activity is required. The lab for this course is EDNL 330 .
