Restricted to CRW majors, PCRW majors, and CRW minors. Prerequisite: CRW 208 or consent of instructor. Study of the aesthetics of poetry, poetic technique, and the history of poetic forms such as the ballad, the sonnet, the ode, and free verse, as developed by classic and contemporary writers.
