ATR 450 - Pharmacology for the Health SciencesCredits: 3
This course will expose the athletic training, therapeutic recreation, community health and exercise science student to common illnesses and health conditions. An emphasis will be placed on the diagnosis, indications for physician referral, impact on movement and activity; and pharmacologic management. The student will also be introduced to basic principles of pharmacokinetics and dynamics as they apply to both prescription and over the counter medications.
