The strategic management of human capital can make or break an organization’s innovativeness and success. Human resources professionals who are well-versed in the body of knowledge associated with human resource management are in high demand. The goal of this program is to provide the student with the foundational human resources skills and knowledge required to successfully enter and participate in today’s business enterprises (either for-profit or non-profit organizations). The 18-hour credit curriculum aligns with the body of knowledge endorsed by the Society for Human Resource Management and comprises foundational coverage of management and organizational behavior as well as human capital staffing. Then, students select 4 of the 5 available HR-specific courses canvassing the other essential elements of HR management, including compensation and benefits, employee and labor relations, performance management and development, global elements of HR, and HR analytics.

The Human Resource Management Post-Baccalaureate Certificate is designed to serve the student with an undergraduate degree in business administration and/or significant undergraduate coursework relevant to human resource management who wishes to develop their expertise in all aspects of human resources, as well as those who would like a more in-depth preparation for other certifications and graduate training.

Application requirements: 4-year degree in business or related field OR sufficient preparation in essential elements of business administration via coursework such as the Business Foundations Certificate.

Current MBA students can double-dip up to three courses below towards earning the MBA with the certificate.
