Public Administration Minor

The Department of Public and International Affairs requires students minoring in public administration to have 24 semester hours distributed as follows:

Required Courses (6 hours)

Take all of the following:

Culminating Professional or Field Experience (3 hours)

Take one of the following:

PLS 491 - Directed Individual Study (a practicum in PA)
PLS 494 - Transnational Politics Study Abroad II (specific focus on public/non-profit dynamics/structures)
PLS 498 - Internship in Political Science (placement in public/non-profit agency)

Departmental Electives (3 hours)

Choose one course from the following:

Departmental Upper Level Electives (6 hours)

Choose two courses from the following:

Additional Electives (6 hours)

Students must earn at least a “C” (2.00) average among all courses counted toward the minor.
