NSG 434  -  Capstone: Prioritization and Application of Nursing Care


Synthesizes information from previous courses to prepare the student for transition to practice. This course is designed to enhance the prioritization and reasoning skills needed by the nurse to manage, coordinate, and deliver safe patient-centered care. Through classroom activities and a one-to-one preceptorship with an experienced registered nurse, the student will refine psychomotor skills and deliver care that demonstrates sound clinical judgements and professional values.   

Credit Hours: 5 (2 lecture/3 clinical)

Prerequisite Courses: NSG 422 , NSG 426 ​  (C or better).
Additional Restrictions/Requirements: Minimum grade of C or better.
