NSG 426  -  Acute and Complex Nursing Care of Adults


This course will build upon core nursing concepts essential to the role of the professional nurse when caring for individuals, families, and communities with complex health problems. This course will focus on advanced concepts and response to changes in condition for patients with acute and chronic illnesses. Emphasis will be placed on the nursing process, clinical reasoning and professional integrity. Advanced psychomotor skills and concepts in nursing care will be applied in lab and various clinical experiences. 

Credit Hours: 6 (3 lecture/3 clinical)

Prerequisite Courses: NSG 311, NSG 313 , NSG 317 , NSG 319  (C or better).
