EDN 335 - Social Studies Education in the Middle Grades This course examines the curriculum, materials, and methods appropriate for teaching social studies at middle grade levels. There is an emphasis inquiry-based instruction including social inquiry in the real world, analysis of sources to build arguments, and teaching methods related to historical events and social studies phenomena. Coursework includes field experience.

Corequisite Courses: EDN 439 . Prerequisite Courses: EDN 301 and EDN 318 and EDN 320 and EDN 352 . Additional Restrictions/Requirements: Prerequisite courses and 6 hours of social studies content.
