CSC 433 - Natural Language Processing Introduction to natural language processing, computational linguistics, and speech recognition. Exploration of both symbolic and stochastic algorithms for processing human languages. Topics include parsing, part of speech tagging, semantic representation, pragmatic analysis, discourse structure, machine translation, n-gram statistical models, Hidden Markov Models, and other stochastic techniques.
Credit Hours: 3
Prerequisite Courses: Prerequisite: CSC 331 with a minimum grade of C. Prerequisite or Corequisite: CSC 360 , or instructor approval. Course Repeatability: Course may not be repeated. Maximum Repeatable Hours: 3
