EGN 410 - Field Methods in Coastal Engineering Introduction to the concepts, instrumentation, and field methods used to observe physical processes specific to the highly-dynamic coastal environment, such as wind, waves, currents, tides, and sediment transport. Hands-on experience in operating, deploying, and analyzing data from sensors that measure waves and currents, as well as with advanced surveying techniques for monitoring beach morphology (e.g., LIDAR, RTK GPS, and SONAR).
Credit Hours: 3
Prerequisite Courses: EGN 340 , EGN 330 . Course Repeatability: Course may not be repeated.
