PBH 352 - Intercultural Communication in Global Health This course will examine basic concepts and principles of effective intercultural communication. This course addresses the concept that culture plays a large role in shaping each individual’s health-related values, beliefs, and behaviors, and impacts decision making regarding seeking care and/or treatment. This course will develop students’ intercultural communication skills needed to address global health disparities, both in international and domestic settings.
Credit Hours: 3
Additional Restrictions/Requirements: Minimum passing grade of “C-” or above required in each PBH course to progress in the program. Open to Public Health majors with a Global Health concentration. Course Repeatability: Course may not be repeated.
