PBH 401 - Foundations of Environmental Health Overview of assessment, control, prevention, and safety of human health from environmental and occupational risk factors. Topics include pollution wastes, toxic metals, pesticides, radiation, vector borne diseases, and occupational injuries and stressors. Emphasizing deleterious effects of industrialization on developing countries, effects of globalization, and the rise of the environmental justice movement.
Credit Hours: 3
Additional Restrictions/Requirements: Minimum passing grade of “C-” or above required in each PBH course to progress in the program. Open to PBH majors only; or consent of instructor. Course Repeatability: Course may not be repeated. Maximum Repeatable Hours: 3
