CSC 385 - Professional and Ethical Issues in Computing Professional and ethical issues arising from the impact of computer science and related technologies on society. Topics include ethical issues, obligations of professional practice, privacy and security, intellectual property, work and health issues, and the impact of emerging technologies. Students give both oral and written presentations and discuss case studies.
Credit Hours: 3
Prerequisite Courses: ENG 101 , and (CSC 131 with a minimum grade of “C”). Additional Restrictions/Requirements: Junior or senior standing in computer science or information technology. University Studies: Building Competencies/Writing Intensive, Building Competencies/Information Literacy
