Admission Requirements

Students planning to pursue licensure should apply to the Watson College of Education as soon as admissions requirements are met (typically in the sophomore year) and plan their programs in regular consultation with their advisors.

Students seeking an Spanish, B.A. with Teacher Licensure must complete the major requirements found in Spanish, B.A. and Teacher Licensure Requirements (see Watson College of Education section of this catalogue).
36 credit hours (12 must be SPN 303 , SPN 305 , SPN 306 , and SPN 307 ; 6 must be at the 400 level, and up to 6 may be at the 200 level)
Only 3 hours at the 400-level may be obtained by means of SPN 491 or SPN 498 .

A grade of “C-” or better is required in each course counted toward the major and a “C” (2.00) average or better for all courses counted toward the major.
