SPN 307  -  Spanish Phonetics


Introduction to the sound system of Spanish through theoretical and practical analysis. Students explore the articulation and structure of Spanish sounds, comparing them to English sounds and differences across dialects of Spanish. Students also review accent rules and the correspondence between sounds and letters in Spanish.

Credit Hours: 3

Prerequisite Courses: SPN 202 with a ‘C’ or better or SPN 215 with a ‘C’ or better or appropriate placement test score.
Course Repeatability: Course may not be repeated.
