CSC 355 - Database Design and Implementation Introduction to database concepts and database management systems. Topics include data models (hierarchical, network, relational, parallel, distributed and NoSQL), data modeling, data description languages, data manipulation languages, database administration, data warehouses, and front-end development. A group project designing and implementing a relational database is required.
Credit Hours: 3
Prerequisite Courses: CSC 231 (with a minimum grade of C) Additional Restrictions/Requirements: Junior or senior standing, or permission of instructor. Course Repeatability: Course may not be repeated.
