EGN 102 - Introduction to Coastal Engineering Introduction to the field of coastal engineering and its relationship to other engineering disciplines (civil, structural, environmental) and sciences (geology, oceanography). Examination of basic wave mechanics, tide theory, coastal storm processes and sediment transport processes to support a basic understanding of coastal erosion and approaches to address coastal erosion.
Credit Hours: 3
Prerequisite Courses: EGN 101 (C- or better), MAT 161 University Studies: Approaches and Perspectives/Living in a Global Society Course Repeatability: Course may not be repeated.
