Supplementary Math Credit
Students who complete MAT 161 with a grade of “C” (2.00) or better and who receive no advanced placement credit, no transfer credit, and no prior credit at UNCW in mathematics will receive credit for MAT 112. Students who complete MAT 162 with a grade of “C” (2.00) or better and who receive no advanced placement credit, no transfer credit, and no prior credit at UNCW in mathematics will receive credit for MAT 161. Students who complete MAT 261 with a grade of “C” (2.00) or better and who receive no advanced placement credit, no transfer credit, and no prior credit at UNCW in mathematics will receive credit for MAT 161 and MAT 162.
Supplementary World Language Credit
Students who complete, with a grade of “C” (2.00) or better, a French, German, Japanese, Latin, Portuguese or Spanish course numbered 201 or higher (excluding classes taught in English, such as JPN 311 ) shall be granted supplemental credit as follows:
- For completion of a 200-level language sequence course (i.e. 201, 202, 215), students will receive 3 credit hours for the prior course in the sequence (e.g. for FRH 201 , students will receive 3 credit hours for FRH 102 ). For completion of SPN 215 , students will receive 3 credit hours for SPN 201 .
- For completion of a 300-level course taught in French, German, Japanese, Latin, or Spanish, students will receive 3 credit hours each (6 credit hours total) for 201 and 202 in that language.
- For completion of SPN 315 , students will receive 3 credit hours each (6 credit hours total) for SPN 201 and SPN 215 .
This credit may be used to fulfill university studies requirements.
