The College of Humanities, Social Sciences, and the Arts (CHSSA) offers a minor in linguistics to provide students with a variety of courses related to the scientific study of human languages. Students acquire a basic knowledge of linguistics, sociolinguistics, and applied language studies in courses offered by several departments. Requirements for a Minor in Linguistics
Core Course (3 Credit Hours)
Students will choose one of the following required courses: Electives Courses (15 Credit Hours)
Students will choose 15 additional credit hours from the following classes below. Students may take ENG 324 more than once under a different topic. Additional Information
Students must earn at least a “C” (2.00) average in courses counted for a linguistics minor. |
