The Department of Earth and Ocean Sciences offers a minor in Climate Change Sciences. Because climate change science is a truly integrative and dynamic field which continues to become more technological and global in its approach, the climate change science minor requires students to develop basic proficiencies in several fields, while allowing students to focus on their specific interests through selection of appropriate elective courses.

Requirements for a Minor in Climate Change Sciences
Core Courses (6 Credit Hours)
Choose two of the following courses (only one of the Global Climate Change courses will count). The remaining courses can be used as an elective. Elective Courses (12 Credit Hours)
Choose 12 credit hours from the classes listed below. Courses not used in the core can be counted here as electives. Only one of the Global Climate Change courses will count toward the major. At least nine credit hours must be at the 300 level or above.
