Supply Chain Management, Bachelor’s/Master’s Combined Program

This combined bachelor’s/master’s degree program is designed to provide qualified students the opportunity to complete both degree programs in under 5 years. A student will earn a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Business Administration with a concentration in Supply Chain Management and a Master of Science (MS) in Supply Chain Management

BS of Business Administration Economics students must apply for admission to the 4+1 BSBA Supply Chain Management/MS Supply Chain Management. Six (6) hours of courses taken at the 500-level will apply towards both degrees. Upon completion of the BS degree, students have the option to apply to the graduate school and continue progress towards the MS SCM degree.

BS of Business Administration Economics students must apply for admission to the 4+1 BS Economics/MS Finance program. Six (6) hours of courses taken at the 500-level will apply towards both degrees. Upon completion of the BS degree, students have the option to apply to the graduate school and continue progress towards the MSF degree.

Completion of the B.S./M.S. Combined Program in Supply Chain Management form.

Rationale for Proposed Plan

This program is an opportunity for students who excel in supply chain management to pursue a specialized master’s program. The combined program will benefit students in several ways:

Waiver of the graduate application fee and admission to the MS SCM program (pending completion of MS SCM program admission requirements)
Allows six credit hours of graduate course work to satisfy six credit hours of undergraduate concentration requirements

Curriculum

Students must complete all requirements for the B.S. Business Administration with a Supply Chain Management Concentration as well as the requirements for the M.S. in Supply Chain Management.

M.S. Supply Chain Management Requirements

Timeline

Students who successfully complete the two 500-level MS SCM courses and all remaining B.S. Business Administration degree requirements are awarded the B.S. in Business Administration with a Supply Chain Management concentration.
In the final semester of their B.S. program, students will apply for admission to the MS SCM program. If admitted to the MS SCM, the six credits earned at the 500-level will count towards the degree requirements of the MS SCM degree.
Note: Students that receive acceptance into the combined degree program are still subject to the admission requirements for the MS SCM program. Admission to the combined degree program does not guarantee admission to the MS SCM program.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How many classes will students need to complete to earn the MS SCM?
A: Students must complete the full 30 credits of MS SCM courses, but six of those credits can be earned before they begin the program.

Q: Can students be admitted to the MS SCM program upon graduation from the BSBA if they earn Cs in their 500-level electives?
A: Graduate applications will be evaluated based on our existing admissions criteria. A student who meets the criteria can be admitted to the MS SCM program. Courses at the 500-level in which the student earned a grade of C will not count towards the MS SCM degree requirements and must be replaced or retaken after advising by the MS SCM Director.
