The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry offers two programs leading to undergraduate degrees in chemistry. The Bachelor of Science degree, certified by the American Chemical Society, prepares students intending to pursue a graduate degree or a career in chemistry. The Bachelor of Arts degree provides a broad chemistry-based background in preparation for a chemistry-related career or for those planning to teach chemistry. The minor in chemistry is designed for students who are majoring in other disciplines but would like additional coursework in chemistry.
