MAT 476 - Optimization Examination of the mathematics underlying optimization problems, emphasizing the
underlying geometric, algebraic and analytical ideas. Topics covered may include: convex analysis, least-squares, linear programming, semidefinite programming, optimality conditions, duality theory, numerical methods including gradient descent and Lagrange multipliers.
Credit Hours: 3
Prerequisite Courses: MAT 261 and MAT 335 Course Repeatability: Course may not be repeated.
