PAR 307  -  Memoirs of Black Religion: Life-Narratives as Religious Sources


Study of memoirs and autobiographical texts by Black people from slavery through the twenty-first century, focusing on the intersection of religion and race. Complex exploration into the ways of religion and spirituality in the history of Black communities in America, and their otherwise imaginaries of spiritual transformation, self-making, becoming, maturing, belonging, resisting, liberating, and dreaming.
