MUS 345  -  Latin American Popular Music

Survey of popular music genres in Latin America, focusing on musical characteristics and components, instruments and performance techniques, and historical developments in their evolving musical forms. Music will be presented with contextual information on the social, religious, and economic history of each region.

Credit Hours: 3
