EBD 301  -  Entrepreneurial Finance for Non-Business Majors


Course provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to manage cash as well as manage the necessary records in a small business. Topics include: calculating startup costs, running a monthly, quarterly and annual budget for a business, understanding the different sources of capital and how to obtain them, projecting income and what investors, lenders and grant organizations look for in an entrepreneurial venture. SBIR/STTR funding, financial analysis and record-keeping necessary to comply with federal, state, and local tax law are also addressed.

Credit Hours: 3

Prerequisite or Corequisite Courses: EBD 280 OR EBD 282
Additional Restrictions/Requirements: This course is for non-business majors and students in the BA Economics program. Students pursuing a BSBA in the Cameron School may not take this course.
