WLC 206 - Perspectives in European Cinema

Survey of selected European cinemas with emphasis on major narrative films and the cultural and historical context from which they derive. Explores the ways in which cinema constructs concepts of national identity and examines whether the cinema of a nation carries distinguishing traces of the nation’s unique history, culture, and ethnic makeup.
