EDN 200  -  Teacher, School and Society


This course examines historical, sociological, and philosophical foundations of education as well as issues of diversity. The course engages students’ knowledge, research, and analytical skills in relation to the goals and purposes of education. Students are challenged to critically reflect on personal and educational experiences as preservice professionals. The course is designed to provide opportunities to observe and engage in reflective discussion of curriculum and instructional practices, school governance and organization, and school-community relationships, inclusive of field experience. **Additional liability insurance expense may be necessary.** The lab for this course is EDNL 200 .
