EGN 330 - Coastal Wave Mechanics


Examination of the mechanics of water wave motion using linear and non-linear wave theories. Wave generation, forecasting and measurement are explored. Wave propagation and transformation from offshore to the nearshore where waves interact with the bottom causing shoaling, breaking and initiating sediment movement is also covered.

Credit Hours: 3

Prerequisite Courses: EGN 340 .
