EGN 201 - Engineering Statics


An introduction to concepts in engineering based on forces in equilibrium. Topics include basic force concepts and equilibrium analysis, distributed forces, centroids, moments of inertia, application to structural elements. Upon completion, students should be able to solve problems which require the ability to analyze systems of forces in static equilibrium.

Credit Hours: 3

Prerequisite Courses: PHY 201 .
Course Repeatability: Course may not be repeated.
