EDL 671 - Academic Advising in Higher Education

Course Description: This course provides an overview of academic advising in higher education. Theories, models, and approaches of academic advising will be discussed as it relates to the overall goal of student success within higher education. Understanding the theories and practices associated with academic advising will provide students either directly or indirectly involved in advising, the opportunity to deepen their understanding of the importance of academic advising and enhance their service to students and their institutions.
