EVS 568 - Hazards, Risks, and Community Resilience Course Description: Overview of natural hazards and disasters, focusing on social, economic and environmental impacts, as affected by environmental and social change. Exploration of alternative, sustainable ways to view, study, and manage hazards in the United States. Topics include disaster-resilient communities, environmental quality, inter- and intra-generational equity, economic sustainability, and quality of life.
