EVS 571 - National Parks and Protected Areas Course Description: Exploration of national parks and protected areas in the United States and abroad from historical, ecological, social, and political perspectives. Emphasis on the role of these natural spaces in culture, individual and societal well-being, and environmental health. Consideration of the impacts of park use, recreation and tourism on the parks themselves.
