EDL 685 - International Education Field Experience Course Description: This course is designed to accompany a faculty-led study abroad trip. The international field experience provides opportunities to learn about educational practices in another country, observe and interact with students, educators, and policy makers in multiple settings, and compare U.S. and international educational policy and practice. Readings and coursework appropriate to the country and experience will coordinate with the trip. Students will engage in pre-departure meetings, in-country seminars, and post-departure activities focused on specific course content, country-specific information, intercultural communication, and gaining an appreciation for the field of comparative education.
