MSA 540 - Business Forecasting, Valuation, and Analysis Course Description: This course is an introduction to the principles of financial statement analysis and business modeling. It emphasizes evaluation of balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement, statement of stockholders’ equity, and notes to the financial statements for the purpose of understanding historical and prospective operations. It emphasizes tools that are used to analyze a company’s historical financial statements and modeling techniques to create a prospective view, providing accountants with an understanding of risk, valuation, and potential going-concern issues.
