HST 577 - Historic Preservation in the U.S. Course Description: This applied research class provides an overview of the history, theory, and practices of historic preservation. It addresses the history of the built American environment and how scholars analyze buildings and landscapes as historical evidence. Students visit historic structures and conduct both fieldwork and archival research.
