NSGL 643 - Clinical Group and Family Therapy Course Description: The purpose of this course is the clinical application of understanding the biopsychosocial, cultural, and spiritual aspects of persons, families, groups and communities across the lifespan and their relationship to developmental mental illness. Demonstration of understanding the inherited and acquired vulnerability to mental health illness. Immersion through observation and/or participation of the various therapeutic modalities. Individual growth and development within the family and community are evaluated. Student will incorporate reflective practice to promote understanding of self and the therapeutic role.
