IMB 577 - Global Operations Management Course Description: This class examines contemporary issues related to managing operations in a global context. The focus will be on key issues within operations which are of relevance in a firm’s ability to remain competitive in a global economy. The development, implementation and evaluation of effective strategies and tactics for managing operations are key drivers of an organization’s success. Topics: outsourcing and offshoring, managing international projects, designing and managing global supply chains, managing inventory and global logistics, and acquisition management.
