STT 566 - Mathematical Statistics I Course Description: A rigorous introduction to mathematical statistics. Univariate and multivariate probability distributions; conditional and marginal distributions; theory of estimation and hypothesis testing; limiting distributions and the central limit theorem; sufficient statistics and the exponential class of probability density functions.
