LIC 555 - Advanced Language Arts Methods, 6-9 Course Description: Presents curriculum and methods for developing linguistic and communicative competence in language arts classes at the middle level. Develops understanding of communication processes (listening, speaking, writing, viewing, etc.) and language systems as influences teacher decision-making. Focus on strategies and plans for facilitating and evaluating student’s oral and written language performance. Field experience required.
