NSG 614 - Advanced Family Nursing III: Women’s Health


Course Description: This course focuses on advanced nursing practice with emphasis on women’s health population across the life span, including health problems disproportionately affecting women. Men’s health topics correlated to the women’s health population focus are integrated into course content. Emphasis on the development of critical thinking and analytical skills with focus on ethical clinical decision making while striving to improve health outcomes among women. The essentials of doctorate in nursing education are synthesized within the course to build components of the advanced practice role. The major emphasis is on developing, implementing and improving client outcomes promoting cost-effective, quality health care within the context of family and a multicultural society.
