EDL 658 - Campus Environments


Course Description: This course explores the complexity of campus environments and cultures. We will examine foundational theoretical concepts used in the field to describe campus environments and cultures and review empirical findings that have demonstrated their effects on the experiences of students, staff, and faculty members. The course is intended to familiarize you with several different contemporary higher education environments and cultures as well as strategies for enhancing these environments and cultures to maximize student learning and development and staff/faculty satisfaction and behavior. We will pay particular attention to the effects of campus environments and cultures on marginalized (or targeted) groups.

Credit Hours: 3

Additional Restrictions/ Requirements: Grade restriction - minimum letter grade of C for this course.
