PHY 550 - Fluid Mechanics Course Description: A comprehensive account of fluid dynamics that emphasizes fundamental physical principles. Fluid statics; fluid kinematics; integral and differential forms of conservation laws for mass, momentum and energy; Bernoulli equation; laminar flows; potential flows; vorticity dynamics; dynamic similarity; boundary layers; turbulence.
