MIS 534 - Information Security Management


Course Description: An examination of the principles and processes of security management in networked computer-based systems, including hands-on implementation in a laboratory environment. Risk assessment, planning, protection, and incident and disaster response measures, as well as emerging privacy, legal and ethical issues will be covered in detail.

Credit Hours: 3

Corequisite Courses: ACG 201, MGT 350
Prerequisite Courses: CSC 344 (min grade B) or MIS 323 (min grade B) or MIS 320 (min grade B) or BUS 500 (min grade B)
Additional Restrictions/ Requirements: Prerequisites or equivalent.
