LIC 518 - Advanced Middle Grades Education Course Description: Overview of the conceptual and historic development of programs for students in grades six through nine. Comparison of varied curricular, instructional, and organizational aspects of middle level schools. Explores the educational implications of the developmental characteristics of early adolescent learners, varied approaches to learning, and classroom management. Field experience required.
