CSC 540 - Advanced Scientific Computing Course Description: This course introduces the underlying theory, design, implementation, application, and analysis of numerical algorithms fundamental to scientific computation. Topics include Fourier and wavelet transforms spectral analysis, energy distributions, convolution, correlation, windowed transforms, and filtering. Other topics include constrained nonlinear and combinatorial optimization, curve fitting, data mining, clustering, and fuzzy logic.
