Admission – Special Undergraduate Students

A student who has graduated from a four-year accredited college or university and wishes to take undergraduate classes without pursuing a second degree can apply to UNCW as a special undergraduate student. This application option is also available for students who need to take classes toward completion of teacher certification or licensure requirements. Please note that any student who wishes to earn a second Undergraduate degree must apply as a transfer student.

Special Undergraduate students must have graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from a four-year regionally accredited institution in good academic standing. Students must submit the application through the UNCW Application Portal and submit the non-refundable application fee, as well as an official transcript from their degree awarding institution. Applicants must submit their application and all required materials by the posted deadline for their desired entry term.
