Auditing allows a student to enroll and attend a class without receiving academic credit. Audited curses do not count towards full-time status, loan deferment, or financial aid eligibility. Audit students pay regular tuition and fees for audited classes. Current UNCW students, faculty, and staff who wish to audit a class should complete the online Application for Audit/Graded Audit Courses through the Office of the Registrar: https://uncw.edu/myuncw/academics/registrar/students/registration/graded-audit-course.
Applicants who are not current UNCW students, faculty, or staff can apply online through the UNCW Application for Audit and Senior Citizen Audit Students.
The Spring application will open on November 1 and close on the first day of classes. The Summer and Fall application will open on April 1 and close on the first day of classes. In addition to the application, applicants must submit the non-refundable application fee. If admitted, students will need to request an audit through the Office of the Registrar.
