    Course Description: This course explores the roles that nonprofit organizations play in the U.S. and the public policy issues confronting nonprofit organizations. Drawing upon historical, political, economic and sociological perspectives, this course provides an overview of the development of the nonprofit sector and the unique roles that the sector plays in American society.
